CYTRUS BIANCAMARIA is a temporary exhibition project curated by Chiara Guidi and designed by Garibaldi Architects, presented in Viale Bianca Maria 21 on the occasion of miart and Milano Design Week 2026.
Conceived as a hybrid platform between art and design, CYTRUS BIANCAMARIA unfolds as an immersive environment in which works and objects coexist within a unified spatial narrative. The project takes its name from the evocative qualities of citrus—color, light, energy, and vitality—translating these elements into a vibrant and atmospheric exhibition space.
The installation is structured across three rooms, where a dialogue emerges not only between artists but also between designers, generating a layered and dynamic encounter between disciplines. The space itself becomes an active component of the exhibition, shaped by chromatic intensity and material presence, creating a perceptual experience that blurs the boundaries between object, image, and environment.
Among the works presented, Diango Hernández exhibits a new cycle of paintings connected to his ongoing research on Olaismo, a distinctive exploration of fluid forms and spatial perception. His works, centered on the recurring motif of the pool, extend his investigation into architecture, memory, and the transformation of space.
The exhibition also features a wide range of artistic and design practices, including site-specific interventions, sculptural works, and experimental furniture pieces. From modular seating systems to painterly monochromes, from digital surfaces to handcrafted objects, the presentation reflects a plurality of approaches that converge within a shared experiential framework.
Taking place during the closing days of miart and in parallel with Milano Design Week, CYTRUS BIANCAMARIA positions itself as a point of convergence between two of the city’s most significant cultural moments, creating a bridge between the contemporary art system and the design world.
The project is developed in collaboration with Marta Gay, with the participation of galleries and partners including WIZARD GALLERY and NP-ArtLab, and with the support of Garibaldi Architects, Eco Contract, Ceriani Luce, and Stilnovo.
