Margherita Pedrotta
Margherita Pedrotta (Ivrea, 1998) is a visual artist who grew up in the industrial countryside of Piedmont. She specializes in Anthropological Studies at the University of Turin, stimulating her interest in the expressive and identity practices of metropolitan sub-cultures. Her artistic practice unfolds an intimate reflection that mixes the loving character of interhuman relationships with the obligatory encounter of man with work- machinery, through installations, videoart and sound design. Her research involves the reconstruction of imaginary environments that express the meanings of living. She currently lives in Palermo, where she co-founded Unostudio; on the threshold of the performative, she builds installations rich mainly in industrial materials to produce through the inanimate matter, the possibility of a poetic thought.
