Of Being brings together two artistic positions that meet on the threshold between body and consciousness, between humans and nature. The exhibition is a meditation on existence – fragile, embodied, and far-reaching – in which the individual opens up to the universal, and humanity is understood as a continuous part of the living fabric of the earth.
Christie-Coxon and Dalla Torre meet on a shared plane of being – approaching it from opposite directions. Christie-Coxon’s Circle Culture represents the idea of the past nourishing the present in order to shape the future, creating a planetary field where relationship is essential – circles and soft paintings that appear as gentle edges and liberated forms. Dalla Torre brings this field back to the skin: portraits and fragments in which nature is worn in the flesh – memory, vulnerability, and metamorphosis visible on the surface. One practice composes relationships, the other processes them; neither illustrates the other, yet both explore human existence. Together, they show the body and the world as levels of consciousness and as ways of experiencing the ecology of being.
