Istituto Veneto per i Beni Culturali
Casa Minich, San Marco 2940, Venice

The exhibition In corso d’opera was born from the desire of the students of the L1 WE-Registrar Project to share with the public the results of a training journey experienced within the Istituto Veneto per i Beni Culturali.
It is an opportunity to show what happens when the transmission of knowledge goes beyond passive learning and opens up to a real, practical dialogue between artistic approaches, personal experiences, and different visions—creating new professionals in the field.

In the setting of Casa Minich, a group exhibition brings together the works of six artists from the Liceo Artistico Statale of Venice: Sofia Braga, Giovanna Carolo, and Matias Ostanello, who have just graduated; Riccardo Albiero, Leonardo Dalla Torre, and Elisabetta Mariuzzo, former students who are now established artists. Completing the group is Ruggero D’Autilia, their painting teacher.
Seven works, each expressing a unique artistic sensitivity, all rooted in a common origin: the school—not only as a place of knowledge transfer, but also as a space for dialogue and creative freedom.

Through the collaborative work of designing, planning, and setting up the exhibition—carried out by the students of the Registrar Project—the central theme becomes clear: the relationship between the learner and the teacher. This relationship is built on continuous exchange, mutual respect, and both personal and professional growth.

In Progress aims to be an open workshop, a collective story shaped by emerging talents working behind the scenes, with the goal of focusing on the creative process—not just the final result.
This space invites visitors to reflect on the moment when artistic and professional gestures begin to take shape as independent expressions, while still recognizing the roots they come from.

With a simple and clean exhibition design, intended to let the artworks speak for themselves, we invite the public to observe carefully, notice similarities and differences, and reflect on the role of education in the development of young professionals.
This exhibition tells the story of a living process, still evolving—because we believe that every work, like every person, is always in progress.
